Willamette Valley Marathon and Iris Runs (3k, 5k, 10k, Half M)
The Willamette Valley Marathon and Iris Runs are rapidly growing in popularity with runners and walkers of all levels. It’s no wonder with mild temperatures and the natural surroundings, including hop fields and the unparalleled views of the fields of colorful irises. “I prefer country running to city running any day and was immediately drawn to the out-and-back course through rolling farmland in the lush Willamette Valley”, says runner Jodi Stilp on her blog Sole Sisters. “Beautiful views were a guarantee”.

Keizer Chamber of Commerce director Christine Dieker tells the Keizertimes this is the first and only certified full marathon in the county. “I think this is what the valley reeds” Dieker said of the marathon. “Our valley is so cool looking; I think this will be a great opportunity.”

The two day schedule of races is family friendly. Kids will be treated to a Mascot Dance Party during their pre-race warm-up.
