Featured Trip Idea: Memorial Weekend in the Wine Country May 27th-29th, 2017
Here in the Willamette Valley, we cherish our annual tradition of kicking off the summer wine tasting season with Memorial Weekend in the Wine Country. Every year, more than 150 wineries and tasting rooms open their doors to the public for one special weekend of tasting and touring the unique vineyards and wineries throughout our region.
Though we love the Memorial Day Weekend events scheduled throughout our region, 3 days simply isn’t enough time to celebrate all there is to enjoy in Oregon’s Wine Country. Fortunately, the month of May has been officially declared Oregon Wine Month making this the perfect time for wine enthusiasts to travel here and participate in special tastings, food, entertainment, tours and more throughout the entire month!
Whether you’re an experienced sommelier or new to wine tasting, a winery tour or vineyard picnic while sipping Pinot noir, Pinot gris and other exciting wines from the 2016 Wine Region of the Year is an experience worth having!
If you’re planning to make the trip, we recommend taking advantage of the valuable tips and resources provided by Willamette Valley Wineries. Make the most of your weekend with their handy Wine tasting routes.
