Enlightened Theatrics: “A Charles Dickens Christmas” through Dec. 23rd
This Enlightened Theatrics’ presentation tells the story of the Christmas before the Carol. A Charles Dickens Christmas is a highly original take on A Christmas Carol that gives a behind-the-scenes look at the creation of the holiday classic.

Holiday Showcase Dec. 1st-24th 2017
The Salem Art Association’s annual Holiday Showcase exhibit is packed full of handcrafted gifts made by regional artisans. Visitors will find traditional art, plus jewelry, ceramic dishware, greeting cards, edible goods, and a whole lot more. Free admission.

Capture the magic of the holiday season with a visit with Santa. Visits with Santa are free. Charges only apply for photo options.

The Oregon Garden presents Christmas in the Garden through Dec. 31st
Twinkling lights, artisan vendors, ice skating, photos with Santa, traditional German food, carolers, and more. Pricing and activities vary by night.

Riverfront Park Holiday Tree Lighting – December 1, 2017
Festivities include live reindeer, music, crafts and free hot cocoa and cookies beginning at 6 pm. Mayor Bennett emcees the ceremony at 6:30 pm. A local children’s choir performs and Santa arrives and selects a child to help flip the switch to light the tree. Free admission.

Two shows – 2 and 7 pm. Join Charlie Brown, Snoopy, Lucy, Linus and the whole Peanuts gang as they put on their own Christmas play and ultimately discover the true meaning of the season.

Wednesday Film Series: Elf December 6, 2017
